Museum Sulawesi Tengah

Sebelum Undang-Undang Otonomi Daerah digulir, Museum Sulawesi Tengah telah ada dan resmi menjadi UPT Pusat yang berada di bawah dan bertanggung jawab kepada Dirjen Kebudayaan berdasarkan SK Mendikbud Nomor 0754/0/1987 Tanggal 2 Desember 1987.
Setelah Undang-Undang Otonomi Daerah berlaku pada Januari 2001, pengelolaan Museum diserahkan kepada Pemerintah Daerah sehingga status Museum beralih menjadi UPTD yang berada dibawah dan bertanggungjawan kepada Dinas Kebudayaan dan Propinsi Sulawesi Tengah Nomor 06 Tahun 2001.
Menyadari demikian besarnya peranan Museum sebagai sarana pelestarian budaya bangsa, sarana pendidikan, informasi dan rekreasi untuk generasi muda dimasa sekarang dan mendatang, maka Museum terus dibenahi dengan harapan dapat memenuhi dan memikat hati pengunjungnya.

Museum Sulawesi Tengah adalah Museum umum yang menyimpan 10 jenis koleksi terdiri koleksi Geologika, Biologika, Etnografika, Arkeologika, Nimusmatika/Heraldika, Filologika, Keramologika, Seni Rupa dan Teknologika Modern. Sampai dengan September 2009 jumlah koleksi yang terhimpun sebanyak 7.455 buah koleksi dengan komposisi sebagai berikut :

- Koleksi Geologika 51 buah
- Koleksi Biologika 25 buah
- Koleksi Etnografika 5.264 buah
- Koleksi Arkeologika 616 buah
- Koleksi Historika 211 buah
- Koleksi Numismatika/Heraldika 427 buah
- Koleksi Filologika 26 buah
- Koleksi Keramologika 814 buah
- Koleksi Seni Rupa 16 buah
- Koleksi Teknologi 5 buah

Before the Law on Regional Autonomy Scrollable, Museum of Central Sulawesi have been there and officially became the Technical Services Unit of Central which is under and responsible to the Director General of Education Minister of Culture based on the Decree No. 0754/0/1987 On December 2, 1987.
After the Law on Regional Autonomy effect in January 2001, the management handed over to the Museum of Local Government so that the status of the Museum moved into the Office of Technical Services Unit and responsible under the Department of Culture and the Province of Central Sulawesi No. 06 of 2001.
Realizing the great role that the Museum as a means of cultural preservation, educational facilities, information and recreation for the young generation in the present and future, the Museum continued to be addressed in the hope of meeting and captivate visitors.

Museum of Central Sulawesi is a public museum that holds a collection of 10 species collection consists Geologika, Biologika, Etnografika, Arkeologika, Nimusmatika / Heraldika, Filologika, Keramologika, Fine Art and Modern Teknologika.As of September 2009 the number of collections assembled a collection of 7455 pieces with the following composition:

- Geologika Collections 51 pieces
- Biologika Collections 25 pieces
- Etnografika Collections 5264 pieces
- Arkeologika Collection 616 pieces
- Historika Collection 211 pieces
- Numismatika / Heraldika Collections 427 pieces
- Filologika Collection 26 pieces
- Keramologika Collection 814 pieces
- Art Collections 16 pieces
- Technology Collections 5 pieces

LETAK MUSEUM

Museum Sulawesi Tengah terletak di Jalan Kemiri No.23 Palu Barat. Lokasi Museum berada dalam wilayah Kelurahan Kamonji Kecamatan Palu Barat, berdekatan dengan Pasar Rakyat Manonda.
Terdapat dua jalur yang memudahkan untuk menuju Museum yaitu dari arah timur melewati Jalan Sis Al-Djufrie dan dari arah barat melewati Jalan WR. Supratman.
